GTA 6 Achievements and Completion Planning: Practical Guide

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and completion hunters are already asking what it will take to reach 100%. The honest answer today is that nobody outside Rockstar knows, but you can still prepare a sensible plan.

What is actually known about GTA 6 achievements

As of mid-October 2026, Rockstar has not announced an achievement or trophy list for GTA 6. There is also no confirmed mission list, no confirmed heist system and no confirmed online economy. Any list you find online that names specific GTA 6 trophies is guesswork until it appears on the official platform stores after release.

What is confirmed is the frame around the game: the fictional state of Leonida, including Vice City, and two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, shown in the official trailers. Pre-orders opened in late June 2026 with a Standard and an Ultimate edition, and purchases before 20 November include the Vintage Vice City Pack. None of this tells you how achievements will work, so treat it as background only.

What the series history suggests

Series precedent is the only reasonable guide for now, and it should be read as a pattern rather than a promise. GTA V, released in 2013, shipped with an achievement and trophy list that included a 100% completion checklist covering story progress and a wide range of side activities. Its story mode also featured heists with planning stages and choices of approach.

GTA Online later added Heists in 2015 and the Cayo Perico Heist in 2020, which shows that the multiplayer side of a Rockstar game can keep growing for years. If GTA 6 follows a similar route, a completion plan may have to cover both a fixed story list and content that changes over time. That is a possibility, not an announcement.

Building a completion plan before launch

You do not need a trophy list to get organized. A simple system set up now will save time later, whatever the final list looks like.

  1. Decide your goal: story completion only, a full single-player checklist, or online achievements as well.
  2. Pick one tracking tool, such as a spreadsheet or notes app, with columns for objective, status, missable or not, and date checked.
  3. Plan for missables: in many open-world games some objectives can be locked out by story choices, so keep a manual save habit once you know the rules.
  4. Wait for the official list on your platform store before filling in rows, and mark anything from unofficial sources as unverified.
  5. Budget time realistically: completionist runs in large open-world games usually take far longer than the main story.

Because two protagonists are confirmed, it is also worth leaving room in your tracker for objectives that may be tied to Jason or Lucia separately. Whether that will matter for achievements is not known.

Third-party help: what to look at and what to check

Some players consider outside help for grind-heavy goals. Service pages such as GTA 6 achievement assistance describe what a provider says it offers, and reading them can help you understand how these arrangements are usually structured. Keep in mind that any pre-launch description of GTA 6 achievement services cannot be based on a confirmed achievement list, because none exists yet.

Boosting, account sharing and real-money trading can violate a game's terms of service and can lead to penalties on the account involved. GTA Online already uses GTA$ and sells Shark Cards as the official route for in-game currency, and Rockstar's own rules are the reference point for what is allowed. Before using any service, check:

  • Whether the service requires your login details or plays on your account, and what the game's terms say about that.
  • What exactly is promised in writing, and what happens if a goal turns out not to exist in the released game.
  • The refund and cancellation terms, read in full before any payment.
  • Which payment method is used and whether it offers any buyer dispute process.

Buyer habits that apply to any game purchase

This catalog focuses on careful online and digital purchases, and the same habits apply here. Read the full terms before paying, not just the summary on a checkout page. Save copies of the offer page, order confirmation, receipts and any messages with the seller, with dates. Screenshots of what was promised are often more useful than memory if a disagreement arises later.

For the game itself, remember that boxed copies of GTA 6 at launch contain a download code rather than a disc, so keep the code card and receipt together. If you pre-ordered, note which edition you chose and where, since edition contents differ between Standard and Ultimate.

When to revisit your plan

The useful moment to update your tracker is when the official achievement list appears on your platform after release. Until then, the safest preparation is a clean tracking system, an understanding of how GTA V handled completion, and a habit of checking claims against official Rockstar announcements before acting on them or spending money.
